Club Fundraising

Fundraising Progress

CCCBC sets a target amount of money for its members themselves to raise by the end of every term. Hopefully the graph below, which tracks how close we are to target, will inspire CCCBC members to give their time and our supporters to give their money generously in return!

Fundraising Target

The Maximum Fundraising Target by the end of Hilary 2011 is 5,000

W1 Row A Marathon (and a bit)

Tuesday 29th March

W1 are aiming to row 38 miles from Oxford to Shillingford and back (6-8 hours of rowing, through 12 locks = a long way!)
We are raising money for two really worthwhile charities, Reading Quest and TravelAid:
Reading Quest is an Oxfordshire-based charity which supports children who are struggling to learn to read. Just £30 pays for a child’s individual session! TravelAid is one of Corpus JCR’s short-term charities, based in Tanzania. It is aiming to raise money for educational resources/first-aid resources for a rural school called Noonkodin. Alice Penfold (W1) is going out to work for them on a project this summer.
We have set up two JustGiving pages:

PLEASE take 2 minutes to donate online. Thank you very much indeed for your support.

Christmas Supermarket Bag Pack

Michaelmas and Michaelmas Vacation.

Juliet Zani (ex-Women’s Captain), Emma-Lucy Pinchbeck (President) and Rosie Renouf (Sponsorship Officer) are planning supermarket bag-packing sessions near to Christmas. More participants welcome.

Details of where and when you can see us being helpful to shoppers whilst dressed in Corpus kit will soon be available here.

24 Hour Ergo

Michaelmas 8th Week (TBC)

After meeting a 24 hour Ergathon survivor during a Summer Regatta, Emma-Lucy Pinchbeck (President) has decided that CCCBC members should experience the fun of rowing on an ergo machine at 3am and is currently recruiting “volunteers” from the membership. Both participants and the wider club membership are welcome to raise money through sponsorship.
