Club Fundraising
CCCBC is generously supported by the College’s Clubs and Societies Grant. Corpus JCR have also given money to CCCBC, loaning the money for a new Filippi 8+ boat, helping those rowers who have achieved the coveted “Blades” at Torpids or Summer VIIIs purchase their trophy oars, and funding CCCBC’s “kit fund” for eligible members. Alumni have also contributed, either individually or by joining the Friends of CCCBC Society.
Members themselves raise money through activities from sponsored events to bag packing in Oxford’s supermarkets. Information about this fund-raising can be found here. The money we raise helps us train novices and senior crews, purchase and maintain equipment, and enter competitions. For information about donating, please email the Treasurer.
CCCBC currently is also actively seeking Sponsorship. Interested parties should contact the Treasurer.
Charity Fundraising
The Club has also recently become involved in fund-raising for charity. In Hilary 2010, the Club raced Dragon Boats for charity “Reading Quest” and the Abingdon Vesper Rotary Club (see below). CCCBC plan to enter this year’s “Stroke for Stroke” Campaign and hope to get Corpus Christi involved in “Sports Relief” fund-raising.
